Hey there...
Don't forget Pizza Crop is tomorrow night (that's Friday, January 30th) from 6 pm to midnight....Cost is $10.00 includes pizza, pop and light dessert. This is a nice, relaxing evening...get out, socialize, work on some projects and maybe even learn some new things.
Please RSVP to me here, by email (thescrapbookroom@sympatico.ca), via phone (842-3132) or through Hair We "R" so that I can be sure to set up enough seats.
If you've been putting off getting those photos into albums, come on out and get back into scrapbooking!
You'll also want to mark Saturday, February 14 on your calendar....that's the date of the Sweetheart Crop & Dessert Contest...We're looking for the yummiest of desserts that you could serve to your sweetheart or just to your best scrappin' friends! And hey, if you're not into yummy luscious, high calorie desserts, try WOW us with something a little healthier. Remember, we have TWO categories...best looking AND best tasting. YOU judge. A light supper of soup will be served. Dessert will be available throughout the day. Cost is $8.00 WITH a dessert and $10.00 WITHOUT. Crop runs from 2 pm to 2 am! You MUST pre-register and PLEASE, show up if you register!
And finally...here's the layout I did last night. Just me and one scrapbooker for Wednesday night scrapbooking but we spread out on the whole table, gabbed lots and I got just THIS layout done...(a little slow but it was a good night)...so here's the layout...(details below the photo)....
The background paper is a dotted pattern by Daisy D (found in the Birthday Page Kit!), Core'dinations turquoise cardstock mat, a couple of random squares of pattern, letters by Daisy Ds AND (red) by Little Yellow Bicycle, journal block from Cosmo Cricket Journalling sheet(yep, I have a bunch of these!) and some random things like ricrac, lace, a brad, a Prima flower, square embellishment from Webster's Pages rubon sheet and the cute little angel sticker. Pictures were mostly cut to 3 x 3 except the larger one in the top left and the narrower, wider one in the bottom right. Photos were attached evenly onto turquoise mat cut to 9 1/2 square and attached to bottom and center of each page. Letters and embellishments were added, journalling done and that's it. Now WHY did that take me all night? Teehee.
Tell me, how long on average does it take YOU to do a layout. (Please don't be shy about your answers. Post a comment and show me you're reading...a sheet of those Cosmo Cricket Christmas journalling squares will be awarded to a random reader who posts by tomorrow night!)
That's all...see you tomorrow. Remember, it's always free to come visit even if you aren't going to scrapbook!
